Kid's room decorations

After having made my rececled Xmas tree I got a bit carried away and made up these things to hang off a chandelier in daughter's bedroom.

Renovations - pressed metal panels

We finished painting the new window and our plan is to instal pressed metal tin panels below the picture rail in the lounge and the chair rail in dining room. Here are some photos of the panels we haev selected photos from Inside Out magazine.

Agapanthus

One thing I love about Christmas is the agapanthus - we have these flowering in white and blue all along our front picket fence and we string up blue and silver tinsel and it looks great.

Vulli Family Treehouse

Vulli Family treehouse - How much did I love this toy when I was young. My cousins owned one and I coveted it so much. It was originally made by Kenner and is now updated with sounds and is availble from jacsstore . I have ordered one for myself (oops) I mean the kids for Xmas.

Leadlight

Here is a sneak peek at the leadlight which is being made to replace the atrocity which is currently installed in our loungeroom window (see earlier post) - can't wait.

Weatherboard houses - inspiration

Our house is a 1927 weatherboard with a green corrugated iron roof and is painted in at least 3 varying shades of yukky beigey yellow. We are planning a major renovation in the next 1-2 years and I hope it will include a new roof - I think something neutral like a pale grey so I can have a completely new colour scheme along with some super cute picket fence. It is hard to do much with Brunswick Green coloured roof. I am collecting photos of desirable schemes on weatherboard houses.

Bathroom inspiration

We are hoping to renovate our house in the next year or so and part of the plan is to extend our tiny bathroom. I want a freestanding shower and bath instead of the combination which we have now - I hate climbing into a shower and our bath is way too small - good for two small children but not quite big enough for me. So I am downloading some inspiration - I have always loved claw footed baths but am not really certain (my partner hates them) but maybe I might go with something more modern. I like the idea of some wallpaper in the bathroom like the photo above. Minimalism is good with some quirkiness. Pictures above are via apartmenttherapy homebug

Leadlight restoration project

One of the things on myto do list is to replace the leadlight in this window in our loungeroom. The frame is in almost new condition but the pattern and vile colours has to go. I am looking at some nice geometric art deco patterns with not too much colour - a bit of blue, yellow and pink.

Flavor Paper

Why do I keep finding more wallpaper that is TDF? I think I would like to decorate the walls of my house with a roll of each of my all time favourite wallpapers.
