Timorous Beasties - London Toile Wallpaper

I have been in love with this wallpaper and fabric by London designers Timorous Beasties for a long time now, how I wish these beautiful things were available not only to "the trade", I want to reupholster a lounge and armchair in this fabric but don't know how to get my hands on it!

Anne- Claire Petit

How fun and fantastic Anne- Claire Petit a Dutch designer who makes the most fabulous crotcheted soft toys, mini pouffes and accessories - but my all time favourite is the windmill music box.

Momoll toys

Love these toys by Switzerland's Momoll. Dolls houses are available in Australia from kidostore

"Jimmy & Jo" pinafore dress

I keep all my daughters old clothes which I have sewn for her in a big old vintage suitcase - occasionally I get them out and look at them. My daughter found this dress and was completely overwhelmed with it and asked if it I had sewn it and if it was ready? i.e. for her to wear. Well it was about 4 years ago when she was 1. She tells me she wants one just like it! I shall have to try and find the fabric - I think it was by Alexander Henry. I made several pinafores like this as in summer they are so simple and look really cute and fresh.

How lollypop sweet are the colours of this gorgeous girl's play room - photos posted on kidshaus and room created by the owner of miko design for her daughter. I love everthing about it especially the sense of fun and imagination from the little doorway and mural of what looks like a forest in autumn!

More Kitchen inspiration

A dramatic kitchen - I love the white against the wallpaper but I do not think I am that brave! Photo courtesy domino magazine.

Kitchen inspiration

One day (after I have finished every other room) the last room to renovate will be the kitchen! In the meantime I am collecting photos for inspiration. On the right is my rather dull kitchen with salmon pink (of course) tiles and on the left is a beautiful picture courtesy A Cup of Jo . However, I have to say that my kitchen is an improvement as it previousy was painted salmon pink with salmon pink holland blinds! Double yuk!.

I am a big fan of Tiny People a wonderful children's store, located in Byron Bay and available online. I bought my Inke wallpaper monkey from Tiny People and it was couriered ASAP. I am particularly lusting after everything made by tamar mogendorff and am very excited that Tiny People stocks these ultra cute birdcages and houses. I also love the Picnic Dress by Miss Haidee and the moth dress up by wovenplay. Tiny People also stock Dwell studio and kideko linen.

Spirited Style Boutique

Fabulous and fun! How colourful are these "Happy Hobo" bags from Spirited Style! Kristen uses vibrant fabrics by Dutch Oilily, Michael Miller and Amy Butler to create these really stunning bags. I love them all! The bags feature a zipper with cute charms attached, the inside is lined in co-ordinating fabrics, and has a cosmetic pocket and 3 pocket section for business cards, mobile etc. Spirited Style bags are available on etsy or on ebay (see the link above) and can be shipped worldwide.

Ottobre magazine

Ottobre is a Finnish magazine which has great patterns for children's clothes and is available for subscription all over the world.

Wee Gallery wall decals

I love these wall graphics by Wee Gallery. They are very reasonable and can be ordered online at various stores in Australia. Click on the link above for a list of retailers.

Marimekko kidswear from finnessestyle

Finnesse Lifestyle is a London store which stocks clothing by leading Finnish textile and design company Marimekko for both women and children. I have not been able to find anyone who stocks Marimekko in Australia (there probably is somewhere - please let me know). Cute daschaund soft toy by Alice Apple on Etsy

Etsy lists handmade items by sellers, such as this gorgeous daschaund soft toy made by alice apple.

Etsy also has an interesting system for buyers to request special one off items. Called Alchemy a buyer posts a request for a custom made item to which sellers can respond and set the terms such as the price, timeframe for the product etc. The buyer and seller can negotiate and agree to a deal.

Cotton On Kids

I bought some great cotton knit pyjamas from Cotton On Kids - the girls pyjamas have this very sweet owl applique. They also have super cute robot navy and white PJ's (and others) for boys. Best thing is - no buttons!

DUCKCLOTH

I recently came across a wonderful site which sells the most fabulous fabrics including I think my all time favourite of Echino which are stunning japanese colourful prints - would look fantastic as cushions, handbags or jsut about anything. Duckcloth also sells the fabulous Melly & Me patterns featured in an earlier post. Duckcloth stock Amy Butler whom I adore (particularly the Nigella range) and also some fantastic prints for children by Sprout - see the gourgeous bubblegum pink skipping girls, and the red birds and trees by Pippiejoe - LOVE THEM ALL! What a great store.

Patchwork

In love with all things patchwork. I have been working on a patchwork quilt for some time now - here are a few photos - I still have a way to go and shall keep you posted! I found this wonderful bedroom featuring a wall decorated in a vibrant mix of vintage wallpapers - thanks to Real Living magazine - I would like to do something similar in my daughters' room as it would solve my wallpaper dilemma :-)
