Hallway makeover

I redid our front entranceway in our little cottage - painted in dulux antique white usa and taubmans reflex for the trim. I bought a cheap wooden hall table off ebay and repainted it in a lovely lilac colour and hung a vintage bevelled mirror. Our floors were all sanded and limewashed. The ugly green hollow front door was replaced with a new reproduction stained glass art deco solid front door. The vintage photo on the table is of a wedding parTy in the 1950's and my mother as a bridesmaid! A vast improvement.

Vintage Murano Glass chandelier

I bought this wonderful vintage murano glass chandelier off ebay and installed it in my revamped hallway - I really love it particularly the pink glass daffodils!

More children's rooms

A beautiful children's room(and bathroom) from one of my Thai interior books. Unfortunately I cannot read it as I would love to know where the sesame street print or wallpaper is from it is so bright and cute.

Magical child's bedroom

This fantastic girl's bedroom is featured in the latest Livingetc magazine - I just love the cut out tree but the echidna is the best!

Kid Style File

kidstylefile is an absolute favourite website dedicated to infants and 6 year olds. I could spend hours browsing as there is such a wealth of information on clothes (and particularly independent designers) and everything ab and fab for kids. This is a one stop website with all the latest information on products, sales and unique gear for kids. I can't even begin to detail everything on their website - have a look yourself! Subscribers to KidStyle File (KSF) benefit from the latest info and special discounts - thanks! Well done to Angela and her team!

Vintage wallpaper

I bought this fab vintage wallpaper off ebay and am going to paper one wall in my daughter's bedroom and paint the rest in Dulux antique white with a blue/green trim on the picture rails, cornices and ceiling rose. I hope it will look good.

Asian interior style

Whilst in Thailand I bought several interiors books - they are all written in Thai - but I couldn't resist the great photography - I love this particular house - I love the whole mish mash of it and wish I could reproduce this style but am sure it would simply end up looking like clutter!

"Jimmy & Jo" pinafore dress

I keep all my daughters old clothes which I have sewn for her in a big old vintage suitcase - occasionally I get them out and look at them. My daughter found this dress and was completely overwhelmed with it and asked if it I had sewn it and if it was ready? i.e. for her to wear. Well it was about 4 years ago when she was 1. She tells me she wants one just like it! I shall have to try and find the fabric - I think it was by Alexander Henry. I made several pinafores like this as in summer they are so simple and look really cute and fresh.

How lollypop sweet are the colours of this gorgeous girl's play room - photos posted on kidshaus and room created by the owner of miko design for her daughter. I love everthing about it especially the sense of fun and imagination from the little doorway and mural of what looks like a forest in autumn!

More Kitchen inspiration

A dramatic kitchen - I love the white against the wallpaper but I do not think I am that brave! Photo courtesy domino magazine.

Kitchen inspiration

One day (after I have finished every other room) the last room to renovate will be the kitchen! In the meantime I am collecting photos for inspiration. On the right is my rather dull kitchen with salmon pink (of course) tiles and on the left is a beautiful picture courtesy A Cup of Jo . However, I have to say that my kitchen is an improvement as it previousy was painted salmon pink with salmon pink holland blinds! Double yuk!.
